Sands of Oblivion...

Starring:

Morena Baccarin-- Alice Carter
Adam Baldwin-- Jesse Carter
Victor Webster-- Mark
George Kennedy-- John Tevis

The movie is set in the present and centers around the Guadalupe Sand Dunes of the central California coast. There is a team of Archeologists that are trying to save a peace of history before the coastal waters flood the whole area. This piece of history is actually an old film set for the Ten Commandments, done in 1923. The director of that movie, Cecil DeMille, had bulldozed the sets into the sand due to unexplained accidents on set. Through the movie we find that DeMille didn't just have Egyptian props, there were actual Egyptian artifacts with the sets. One of these artifacts holds the trapped spirit of an angry Egyptian god. Of course, someone accidentally messes with this artifact during the dig and it sets off a chain reaction of mysterious murders and accidents with the Archeology crew.

I give this movie a 2.5 out of 10. I couldn't even watch this movie the whole way through. While there were some "interesting" special effects, pretty much the whole movie was a bad C movie. I could figure out what was happening and who was getting killed next by the mad evil spirit. Let's just say that the costume for the Egyptian god looked like a stuffed dog's head on top of a man's shoulders. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone, unless you want to be bored for a couple hours or you really like watching these movies.
