The Day After Tomorrow...
Starring:
Dennis Quaid....as Jack Hall
Jake Gyllenhaal...as Sam Hall
Emmy Rossum...as Laura Chapman
Dash Mihok...as Jason Evans
Jay O. Sanders...as Frank Harris
Sela Ward...as Dr. Lucy Hall
This movie is about a climatologist who is trying to figure out what is going on when the world's temperatures, weather patterns, and storms turn into a drastic global warming issue. As we go along in the story, it focuses on his young son, who is in New York and is in the direct path of the new ice age.
I give this a 9 out of 10. I really love this movie. It's one of those movies that I saw in theaters and got chills because it seemed so real, like it could happen right now. Although I don't know if it could happen, it was very believable, at least to a non-scientist person like me. I kind of wish they could have showed more disasters, but they did a great job anyway.

This is a movie about, of course, the elite military unit known as G.I. Joe. They operate out of their secret headquarters, The Pit, to take on an evil organization that plans to destroy parts of the world in order to scare everyone and eventually take over the world. This evil organization is led by a arms dealer who is notorious with NATO.
I would give this movie 10 out of 10. This is a AWESOME action film. You get slightly futuristic aircraft and weapons, awesome ninjas, awesome fighting, and explosions!! If you love action films, see this one! I really hope they make a sequel, but I wonder if they can even make it better than this one, since this one is SO good. It's a fun movie to watch.
Just Wright

Queen Latifah...as Leslie Wright
Common...as Scott McKnight
Paula Patton....as Morgan Alexander
James Pickens Jr....as Lloyd Wright
Phylicia Rashad....Ella McKnight
This story is about a physical therapist who is helping a basketball player recover from a career-threatening injury. While treating him, she falls for him and there are some things that happen with another woman in regards to their relationship.
I give this movie 8 out of 10. I liked the movie. It's a great little romance movie that's great for couples or a girls night out. If you're interested in romance, check this one out.

Sands of Oblivion...
Starring:
Morena Baccarin-- Alice Carter
Adam Baldwin-- Jesse Carter
Victor Webster-- Mark
George Kennedy-- John Tevis
The movie is set in the present and centers around the Guadalupe Sand Dunes of the central California coast. There is a team of Archeologists that are trying to save a peace of history before the coastal waters flood the whole area. This piece of history is actually an old film set for the Ten Commandments, done in 1923. The director of that movie, Cecil DeMille, had bulldozed the sets into the sand due to unexplained accidents on set. Through the movie we find that DeMille didn't just have Egyptian props, there were actual Egyptian artifacts with the sets. One of these artifacts holds the trapped spirit of an angry Egyptian god. Of course, someone accidentally messes with this artifact during the dig and it sets off a chain reaction of mysterious murders and accidents with the Archeology crew.
I give this movie a 2.5 out of 10. I couldn't even watch this movie the whole way through. While there were some "interesting" special effects, pretty much the whole movie was a bad C movie. I could figure out what was happening and who was getting killed next by the mad evil spirit. Let's just say that the costume for the Egyptian god looked like a stuffed dog's head on top of a man's shoulders. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone, unless you want to be bored for a couple hours or you really like watching these movies.
Spirited Away...
This is a movie directed and written by Hayao Miyazaki.
This story is about a 10-year-old girl who is in the middle of moving with her family to the suburbs. On their way, they wander into a world full of ghosts, spirits, monsters, etc. This is a world where humans are changed into animals. The girl is on a quest to save her parents. She must work in a bathhouse that caters to the creatures and along the way she has some interesting adventures and meets some great friends.
I give this movie a 10/10. This is one of my all-time Anime favorites. Pretty much any movie made by Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli are the best in Anime. This is a must-see movie for all Anime fans and anyone who has children.

Paranormal Activity 2
Cast:
The only cast listed for this movie is:
Katie Featherston- Katie
As the name states, this is the second movie in the Paranormal Activity movies. This one actually takes place before the 1st movie. We get a glimpse in the days leading up to the 1st movie as Katie's sister, brother in law, and the kids deal with the same demon that eventually goes after Katie and her husband.
In this movie, we see a nice loving family who experience "break-ins" at their home. They decide to take the next step and get camera's put throughout the home. When they actually have the camera's in and looked at the footage, that's when they realized it wasn't break-ins at all, but some sinister "Paranormal Activity". (hahaha) I won't give the whole story away, but you can guess what could happen.
I give this movie 10/10. It was way better and WAY more scarier than the 1st movie. I was actually to the point of shaking in my seat from being so scared. Don't let that deter you from seeing this movie. It's a great movie to watch, just make sure you have a friend to grab when it gets really scary.

The Fifth Element...
Cast:
Bruce Willis- Korben Dallas
Gary Oldman- Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg
Ian Holm- Father Vito Cornelius
Milla Jovovich- Leeloo
Luc Besson- Writer/Director
This movie is one of my all time favorites. I won't give the whole story away, but it's set in the future where cars are flying through the air and there's space travel with luxury space ships that look like cruise ships. It's a funny, action-filled, alien populated movie, where an ex-military cab driver becomes the most important man in the world. He is the only one who can save the world and the universe from being destroyed by an ancient, powerful weapon and the evil Zorg who plans to use it.
I give this movie a 10 out of 10. It's a must-see for any movie lover, whether you love action, science fiction, or romance films. Rent/buy it today!
Movies...
So I've started this blog, since I love watching movies and recommending the good and the bad movies I've seen. I've watched so many movies, there's too many to list. So every couple days I will review a movie. This may be any movie, including new/old/action/romance/Anime/foreign movies. Whatever I fancy.
Hope you enjoy!
